本研究では，欠損補綴治療に伴う受療行動のうち，治療時の医療費支出と治療後の定期管理に着目した分析を行う．研究初年度（2022年度）は，大きく以下2点の分析等を実施した．１）研究２年目以降に実施予定の調査研究に備えて，先行研究の文献レビューを行うとともに，調査のためのフレームワークを作成した．文献レビューでは，可撤性義歯や固定性義歯，歯数などを主として，Web上での調査において口腔状態を測定するための評価法について望ましい要素を特定した．また，この作業を通じて設計された評価項目について，一般の者（歯科医療従事職種の資格をもたない者）を対象にプレテストを実施し，評価法の検証を行った．２）治療後の定期管理に関する分析に備えて，定期的な歯科健診への便益を測定し，基礎データを収集した．定期歯科健診への便益として，仮想評価法を用いて支払意思額（Willingness to pay：WTP）を評価した．全国規模での性・年代・地域別で割当抽出された3,336人のデータを使用して，定期管理群と非定期管理群とに分け，定期歯科健診へのWTP値を評価した．定期歯科健診へのWTP値は，定期管理群（1,763人）では中央値3,000円（25～75％：2,000～4,000円，平均3,439.6円），非定期管理群（1,502人）では中央値2,000円（25～75％：1,000～3,000円，平均2,713.0円）であった（抗議ゼロに該当する回答は除外した）．両群間には統計学的有意差が認められた（Mann-Whitney U test，p<0.001）．
