地域医療体制の確立のために，まずは日常診療を通じ，いかなる睡眠関連疾患の未診断が多いかを抽出している．睡眠センター受診者をデータベース化し，その中より問題症例を抽出している状態である．現時点では，やはり有病率もそれなりにあるRestless Legs Syndrome, Narcolepsy, レム睡眠行動異常症の未診断が目立った．これらに対する対策として，まずは疾病のちらし送付等を開始した．さらに睡眠医療自体の概要と重要性を地域医科歯科診療機関に紹介することの必要性を実感した．1年間に2回共催にて医科向けと1回歯科向けに行った講演会により，少しずつ地域での睡眠医療への理解は深まりつつある．また医科歯科連携の重要性も研究課題としてあげているが，こちらは歯科診療で問題となる歯ぎしりと閉塞性睡眠時無呼吸（OSA)との関与の論文を執筆発表することで　研究面でも興味深いことを示し紹介している．人材育成としては，当センターが認定施設であることを周知することで研修希望者もあり，今後教育，継続的なカンファをオープンに行っていく予定であり，教育の場としての認知もされた．今後これらを統合しさらに地域全体として　他の睡眠医療機関との連携を広げていく計画をたてている．
