コロナやGIGAスクール構想の影響で子どものネット利用時間が著しく増加し、ネット依存の子どもが増加している。R4年（2022年）度は小中学校や学会での依存症教育を実施し、ネット依存の仕組みや脳への影響について講演した。研究では2018年に小学生13,000名に対して実施した既存データの分析はあまり進んでいないが、R4年度は新たに380名の大学生を対象として、ネットの目への影響や学習効果に関する調査を追加した。具体的には目の疲労度と学習効果（理解しやすさ、記憶、集中）について紙での学習とデジタル機器での学習効果を比較した。その結果、記憶、集中、目の疲労度において、大多数が紙のほうが良いと回答していた。この結果を学会で報告した.
