The goal of this applied research project is to develop and optimize diagnostic imaging techniques that are based on the principle of receptor-mediated endocytosis. Transfer centre 17 is a derivative of the collaborative research centre 366 "Cellular Signal Recognition and Signal Transduction". Our expertise in the fields of endocytosis, peptide labelling and dye development will be utilized to develop labelled ligands for peptide receptors (especially somatostatin and VIP receptors) for scintigraphic and optical diagnostics.
