本研究の目的は、COVID-19により面会制限が余儀なくされた家族が行う代理意思決定の重責とリモート面会が及ぼす患者・家族のストレス増や苦痛など、コロナ禍の弊害の実態を明確にすることである。次に、救急領域に勤務する医師・看護師が行う代理意思決定支援への影響と実態を明らかにするものである。本研究によりCOVID-19により面会制限中の患者・家族の医療支援の構築と、患者・家族に対するSDM支援マニュアルの開発が目的である。進捗状況として本年度は、国内外の論文や報告資料を収集し、調査票における基礎資料とするために、文献レビューを現在も実施している。また、同時に調査票の確立のために病院関係者：前回の基盤研究の協力者である急性・重症患者看護専門看護師や、担当部門の医師にも事前調査として簡単なミーティングを行う予定である。しかし、まだまだCOVID-19の対応を強いられている病院がほとんどであり、研究スケジュールの調整が難航している状況である。さらに国内では、国の方針が変更になりCOVID-19の対応が変わるが、医療を担う各病院の対応は、今後の課題が多く残されている状況であると考える。そのため、hpン研究の目的遂行のためにも、このような聞き取り調査は非常に重要な位置づけであると考えている。また、調査票確立に向けた研究分担者間とのすり合わせも簡単ではなく、研究スケジュールに遅れが生じている。引き続きCOVID-19の状況や病院の感染状況を鑑みながら、研究を推進していく予定である。
