中国の伝統楽器である古琴(七絃琴)は、古来、儒者を初めとする知識人の修養として愛好されてきたものであり、思想・学問と密接に関連しながら今日まで演奏伝承が続いている。古琴は、かつて中国から日本にも伝わり受容されてきたが、昭和期に日本における演奏伝承は断絶した。日本には今も古琴の資料が残存するが、多くは死蔵されている。研究代表者は、これまで日本各地に散在する古琴の一次資料を調査してきたが、本研究では、それを基にして更なる調査・研究を行い、日本に現存する古琴資料の解題目録・蔵書印データベースを作成する。対象とする資料は、古琴の楽譜・奏法書・理論書等と古琴を扱った研究書・礼楽書等の古文献(写本・刊本を含む明治中期・中華民国初期頃までの和書・漢籍)である。本年度は以下の①～④を行った。①すでに実見・調査した資料（弘前市立図書館/東北大学狩野文庫/宮城県図書館伊達文庫/筑波大学/山県大弐神社/無窮会/国会図書館/静嘉堂文庫/早稲田大学服部文庫/宮内庁書陵部/東京国立博物館/国文学研究資料館田安徳川家資料/内閣文庫/東京都立中央図書館/上野学園大学/神宮文庫/住吉大社御文庫/四天王寺大学恩頼堂文庫/京都大学/陽明文庫/彦根城博物館/九州大学等の計320点ほど）の書誌事項を再検討し、解題目録の作成に着手した。②関西大学図書館所蔵古琴資料の悉皆調査を完了させ、「関西大学図書館所蔵の稀覯琴書と内藤湖南旧蔵琴書について」と題する発表を行った。③故林謙三氏旧蔵の古琴に関する資料の悉皆調査を行った。④江戸期に将軍徳川吉宗の主導で行われた琴楽再興に関する資料（彦根城博物館所蔵『減字譜法』、伊達文庫所蔵『雅琴譜』、田安徳川家資料『雅琴譜』『楽曲琴譜』等）の来歴の検討、現代語訳・五線譜訳を行った上で、共著論文「享保年間における徳川吉宗の琴楽再興－思想と実践の結節点－」を執筆した（2023年6月刊行予定）。
