2022年度の研究は、「あかね会原画」（京都丸紅株式会社所蔵）の再調査とハーバード大学燕京図書館へ訪問し、同館が所蔵する近代の日本で出版された図案集、図案雑誌資料を中心に調査した。大正末期から昭和初期頃に丸紅商店株式会社で結成された「あかね会」で制作された「あかね会原画」の実物調査は、事前調査で未撮影になっていた資料を中心に調査した。本調査では、原画約600点の全容を把握するために未完了だった資料の基礎情報を取得するとともに、記載情報などを読み取り資料の情報を整理したうえでリストを作成した。また、あわせて資料評価もおこない評価額を決定した。さらに、資料の一部に経年による劣化が見られたことから、所蔵者と修復および長期的な保存の方針を立て、可能なものからクリーニングと修復を依頼した。調査した原画の一部は丸紅ギャラリー開館記念展Ⅳ「染織図案とあかね會」で公開した。ハーバード大学燕京図書館への訪問調査では、日本国内の機関で所蔵されていない、もしくは所蔵館が少ない資料を中心に基礎情報を取得してリストを作成した。本調査で得られた資料の情報は、国内の機関で所蔵されている図案集の情報とあわせて資料の所在を明確にするとともに、図案家・図案団体の活動状況を分析するための手掛かりとする。
