当該年度においては、ベートーヴェンの舞台作品のうち、まずバレエ音楽《プロメテウスの創造物》に関して、台本が消失していることから、Carlo RitorniによるSalvatoe Vigano（初演時の振付師およびダンサー）の伝記の中に見られる粗筋に着目し、イタリア語の専門家に訳出を依頼した。既述されているものは台本ではなく、内容面でもベートーヴェンが付曲したものと同一であるとは確言できないが、全体の流れは充分に掴むことができ、また内容面でも初演時との同一性が損なわれるほどの逸脱があるとは考えられないことから、2024年度の実演を目標に、2023年に具体的な上演計画に入る予定となっている。2022年9月には、12日間に亘ってドイツへの調査旅行を実施し、バイエルン州立図書館において（1）劇付随音楽《エグモント》に関する資料、（2）Bettina Brentanoをはじめとするドイツ・ロマン派の文筆家たちによるベートーヴェン像に関する資料、の二点の調査を行った。（1) に関しては、ベートーヴェンがゲーテの戯曲に付曲したのに対し、ベートーヴェンの音楽を基にして新たに書き下ろされた戯曲が少なくとも三点存在することから、そのテクストの複写を入手した。（2）に関しては、ゲーテが文学史において一般的に古典主義に位置づけられるのに対し、ベートーヴェンの音楽が、とりわけ劇付随音楽《エグモント》などの場合において、しばしばロマン派的と評価されていることに鑑み、Arnold Schmitzによる論考『ロマン派のベートーヴェン像Das romantische Beethovenbild』を主要な手掛かりとしながら、ロマン派的な脚色をされていない、ベートーヴェンの古典派的な側面に着目し、ゲーテとの親近性を論じるための準備とした。
