In FY2022, the focus was on initial testing and production of materials to be used in the FY2023 study. This included preparation of images for digital printing, video monitor display, and multi-projection video installation.In addition to preparation of visual materials, testing in AI-generated imagery was included in the research as a new method for generating large-scale and immersive visual media.This first year of practical investigation and testing has established a clear direction for the forthcoming study.In addition to practical investigation, research on the crossover between performing arts and visual art was deemed necessary, particularly with regards to VR and video projection technologies. This has revealed a need for a more cross-disciplinary approach, and while the studies will be conducted within the context of visual arts, there is the potential for this research to address a broader scope of viewer experience than first expected, such as performing arts and UI/UX design.
