项目摘要

本課題「古典的英語圏児童文学作品の舞台化や映画化作品の現代批評理論に基づく研究」については、実質的に2022年度には成果をあげることができなかった。それは、２０１8年に採択されて同時に抱えている研究課題「ヴィクトリア朝期の写真術と文学とラファエル前派主義芸術の関係性に関する研究」（18K00377）が、コロナ禍の影響によって研究が停滞し、２度の延長申請の末、2023年度も並行しておこなっていることが大きく影響している。またこのコロナ禍において、勤務校である県立広島大学地域創生学部地域文化コース長に任ぜられ、その激務をこなさなければならなかったことも大きく影響した。この研究課題をやり終えないと、次の課題に取り組めないと感じているところだが、今年度はなんとかこの先行する課題に区切りをつけて、本課題に手をつけることができるのではないかと考えている。幸いにも2023年度に入って、コロナ禍も収束に向かいつつあり、５類への移行も行われて、大学の授業が原則対面に戻り、国内、国外への旅行もほぼ障害なく行うことができるようになってきたため、今年度は、両方の研究課題を並行して実施し、前の課題をなんとか仕上げてゆき、本課題に本格的に取り組むことができるだろうと予想している。研究対象となる作品の鑑賞やそれに関する資料収集等の活動に積極的に取り組み、まずは少しでも研究成果を出せるように精進したいと考えている。古典的英語圏児童文学作品の例としては『不思議の国のアリス』、『ピーターパン』、最近の作だが『ハリー・ポッター』なども視野に入れて考え、実際に作品が作られているものを対象として研究対象を定めてゆきたいと考えている。
