本研究は、「ポスト公民権運動」の世代に属するユダヤ系アメリカ人作家の作品において、アメリカの人種関係がどのように描かれ、且つ、どのようなユダヤ系の自己像が提示されてきたのか明らかにすることを目的としている。2022年度は、レベッカ・ウォーカーとジェームズ・マクブライドの自伝における人種関係およびユダヤ・アイデンティティの表象に関する考察を行い、その成果は研究発表2件、研究論文1本として公表した。1. 研究発表①：「移動する“Movement Child”―Rebecca Walkerの自伝におけるmixed-race identityとBlack-Jewish relations」（第38回日本アメリカ文学会中部支部大会シンポジウムにて）2. 研究発表②：「ジェームズ・マクブライド『水の色』にみるユダヤ・アイデンティティとアメリカの人種関係について」（第34回 日本ソール・ベロー協会大会シンポジウムにて）3. 研究論文：「排除と包摂―レベッカ・ウォーカーの自伝における ユダヤ・アイデンティティとカラー・ラインの問題」（『福井大学教育・人文社会系部門紀要』第７号）ウォーカーとマクブライドの作品分析は本研究の当初計画には含まれていなかったが、彼らは共に「ポスト公民権運動」の世代に属する作家であるため、彼らの作品を分析することにより本研究を遂行するうえで重要な知見を得ることが出来た。本年度の研究成果は、非白人の「ユダヤ系」作家の視点から描かれたアシュケナジー系ユダヤ人像の分析研究と位置付けられる。いずれの作家の作品においても、アシュケナジー系ユダヤ人は「白人」として表象されるものの、ホロコーストや反ユダヤ主義という文脈において、社会的に周縁化された存在として描かれることが確認された。2022年度の研究で得られた知見を、2023度より実施予定のアシュケナジー系ユダヤ人作家による作品の分析において活かしていきたい。

This study aims to explore the relationship between ethnic groups and the generation of "citizen movement", and to suggest that the generation of "citizen movement" is related to the work of the author. In 2022, two research papers and one research paper were published on the investigation of ethnic relations and the appearance of ethnic relations. 1. Research proposal ①:"Movement Child"-Rebecca Walker's self-identification, mixed-race identity and Black-Jewish relations "(38th Japan Literature Association Central Branch Conference) 2. Research Report 2:"The Color of Water"(34th Japan Society for the Advancement of Women Conference) 3. Research Papers: "Remove the package"-("Notes of the Department of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Fukui University," No. 7) The original plan of this study included the analysis of the works of writers belonging to the generation of the "Civil Rights Movement" and the implementation of this study. This year's research results are based on the perspective of non-white writers and the analysis and location of non-white writers. The author's works are "white" and "white", and the author's works are "white" and "white". The 2022 study found that the 2023 study was conducted to determine the status of the author's work.
