令和４年度は当初の予定通り、研究資料の収集を中心に行った。収集対象とした①一次資料となる病気を描いた文学作品、②西欧美術関連資料、③感染症に関する画像・映像資料、④思想・文化史等の関連資料について、どの項目もバランスよく調査・収集を行うことができた。国内における資料調査に加え、フランスで現地調査を行った。フランス国立図書館で病気文学関連文献の調査を行い、資料入手に努めた。とりわけエイズ文学関連の重要な資料を補うことができた。またフランス国立公文書館で開催された展覧会「流行病を前にして．黒死病から今日まで」を訪れ、ヨーロッパ文化における感染症流行とその影響についての歴史を、コロナ禍を踏まえた現代的視点でまとめた資料を閲覧・収集する機会に恵まれた。研究成果の発信としては、感染症の大流行における「恐怖」としての病気表象をテーマに、学会誌『フランス語フランス文学研究』121号に論文「恐怖の諸相としての病気表象―流行初期における感染症の描写をめぐって」を発表したほか、日本フランス語フランス文学会2022年度秋季大会で「病気と俗信―流行中期における感染症の描写をめぐって」と題して口頭発表を行い、同分野の研究者たちと意見交換を行った。また白百合女子大学言語・文学研究センター編の論集『アウリオン叢書21　パンデミックの言説』（弘学社）に「エイズ文学における病人の表象」を寄稿した。令和４年度中に収集した一次資料のうち主要なものについては病気表象の抽出作業および分析を現在遂行中である。
