2022年度は、オーストリア・ウィーンにある故Dietrich氏が収集した17～19世紀日本関係イエズス会劇史料の大部分を現地協力者に依頼してスキャンし、その整理収集を行った。またウィーン滞在中の研究協力者(久留米大学准教授大場はるか氏)が新たにスイス・ルツェルンにて発見した、Dietrich氏の協力者であったImmoos氏が収集した関係史料、およびウィーンでDietrich氏の研究グループが収集していたチェコ(ベーメン)関係のイエズス会演劇に関する史料の統合・整理も開始した。これらDietrich氏が関係する史料は、来年度以降、大場氏が中心となる大規模プロジェクトの一部として整理・記録を続行し、いずれはオーストリア科学アカデミーの出版物にまとめる予定である。また2022年9月にはイタリアのシエナおよびピサで行われた学会Global Latin IIおよびRoma Sinica IIIにも参加した。前者ではスペイン・サラゴサで1628年に行われた演説およびポーランド・サンドミエシュで1701年に上演された日本関係劇を中心に発表した。また後者では近年発見が相次いでいる近世に作成された中国古典作品のラテン語訳や中国文化のラテン語による紹介(その多くは手稿)について多く学ぶことができた。中国や、ほかアジア太平洋地域において、またそれらに関して作成された近世ラテン語文献も相当な量に上ることは世界各地の研究者たちから最近報告されており、日本関係のものとの比較も今後可能なのではないかと考えている。なお6月には欧州の学術出版社より、日本と近世ラテン語関係のモノグラフをまとめる依頼を受けた。この原稿は2024年夏までに完成させる予定だが、本研究課題の成果も盛り込んで今後準備していきたい。
