本研究の目的は、Labeling Algorithm (Chomsky 2013, 2015, 以下「LA」という) を用いて再帰複合語(e.g.,peanut butter sandwich)を明らかにすることによって、なぜ人間に再帰複合語の理解が可能であるのかを解明することである。具体的には、LAの統語構造派生で問題になっているラ ベル付与のメカニズムが何なのかに特に焦点を置く。その方法として日・英・スウェーデン 語3言語の辞典類、複合語の専門文献などから再帰複合語にあたる表現を抽出し、当該言語 の母語話者判断テストを経て、構造の規則性を提唱する。この目的のために、以下２点の問いを立て、研究を進めていっている。１）日本語、英語とスウェーデン語の再帰複合語の意味的特徴、形態的特徴、音韻的特 徴はどの様になっているのか。2 ）1を分析した上で、再帰複合語はどのような構造を持つのだろうか。構造上どのよ うにLabelingされるべきなのか。Chomsky (2013, 2015), Saito (2016) が提唱している方 法が適応できるかという観点から検証をする。本年度は、母語話者判断テストのための準備として、各言語の専門文献（特に主要辞書）から再帰複合語と考えられる表現を抽出した。また、本研究で最終目的にしている統語構造を考えるため、再帰複合語の基礎となる所有格複合語（e.g., Mother's day)や、複合語とはメカニズムが異なるが、種類によっては類似している混成語の構造を提唱し、国内の学会２件で発表した。その後発表した成果を現在論文に執筆中である。今後、計画に含んでいる母語話者判断テストを実施し、提唱した構造がテスト実施後に適応できるかを検討する予定にしている。

The purpose of this study is to reformulate compound language (e.g., Peanut butter sandwich) is a compound language that can be understood. The specific language structure of LA is derived from the problem of assigning special focus to the system. The method includes extracting the expression of compound language from dictionaries and literatures of compound language, and improving the regularity of structure when the native speaker judges the language.
