英語の無強勢非弱化母音（以下U）に関して、以下の成果を出した。１．「英語母語話者が認識しているUの強さのレベルはどのようなものか」という問題提起をし、アンケート調査の結果を[1]にまとめた。この調査では英語母語話者に、Uを核とする語末音節と無強勢弱化母音（以下R）を核とする語末音節の強さを5段階で評価してもらった。その結果、Uの方がRよりも有意により強いと認識されていた。この結果を、2021年3月に報告した語頭音節での結果とも比較した。２．Fear et al. (1995)は、語頭において、Uの継続時間やフォルマント特性（母音の質：F2-F1と弱化とは反比例の関係）は、第1・第2強勢完全母音（以下P・S）とＲとの中間的な性質を示すと報告している。この先行研究の報告を受け、「Ｕの母音の質の弱化は、単純にその継続時間に起因するのか」という問題提起のもと、発話実験の結果（Uを含む単語が新情報であるときの結果）を[2]にまとめ、Ｕの弱化は、単純に継続時間の短さの副産物ではないと結論づけた。([2]の内容はICPhS 2023で発表する。）[1] 菅原真理子 (2023). 「英語における主強勢直後の語末完全母音音節の韻律的強さの評価--聴覚刺激を用いない内省判断タスクに基づく研究」 『同志社大学英語英文学研究』104号, pp. 137-159.[2] Mariko Sugahara. English has no strong non-weakened vowels (U), and the following results are produced. 1. "Native English speakers are aware of the importance of English in the study." The survey was conducted on the final syllable of the English native speaker. The final syllable of the English native speaker was evaluated on the fifth grade of the English native speaker. The result is that the U side has a strong understanding of the U side. March 2021 Report of the First Syllable Results 2. Fear et al. (1995) report on the first and second strong perfect vowels (P·S) and the middle of R. The report of this previous study was received,"The quality of U vowels is weakened, the purity of U vowels is reduced, the time of U vowels is reduced, the cause of U vowels is reduced," the problem is raised, the result of U vowels is presented (the result of U vowels containing new information),[2] the by-product of U vowels is weakened, the purity of U vowels is reduced, the time of U vowels is reduced, and the conclusion is presented.
