项目摘要

本研究は「多読が学習者の語彙推測能力にどのような影響を与えるか」を解明することを目的とし、「異なる習熟度を持つ大学生の語彙推測能力に対する多読の効果（調査1）」と「他の指導法との比較による多読の効果（調査2）」の２点について調査・検証を行う。本研究1年目である2022年度は前期に文献調査を行い、後期に調査1を行う予定としていたが、勤務先の大学が新型コロナウイルス対策としてオンライン授業を前年度より継続して行なった影響により、研究計画の変更を余儀なくされた。前期には文献調査と調査の準備を行ったが、同時期に本研究に関連する研究として、語彙推測能力とリーディングを通して学習される語彙の量との関係を調査した。この研究の成果の一部を学会で発表し、語彙推測能力が高い学習者がより多くの語彙を学習することを明らかにし、語彙推測能力を涵養することの意義を立証した。しかし、この研究で使用した調査紙を本研究でも使用するため、前期でこの研究に参加した学生を本研究の対象から除外しなければならず、調査１を当初予定していた規模で行うことができなくなった。そこで、小規模で行うことができる調査2を2022年度後期に行い、調査１は2023年度中に実施することにした。調査2では習熟度が均等な3つの大学生学習集団に対して、多読・推測方略訓練・文脈推測訓練のいずれかを施した。期間は１ターム（４半期）で、ターム前後に文脈推測テストを実施し、語彙推測能力を高める有効な指導法を比較・検証した。結果を分析し、2023年度前期に学会発表及び論文投稿を行う予定である。

This study conducted a two-point survey and verification to clarify the purpose of "multi-level learners 'word inference ability","multi-level effects of different familiarity levels on college students' word inference ability"(survey 1) and "multi-level effects of other guidance methods"(survey 2).
