本年度は本研究に先行して実施した基盤研究（B）「近世統一政権の成立と天下普請の展開―中近世移行期史料の研究資源化を通じて―」（17H02382、研究代表者・及川亘、2017～2021年度）によって『大日本古文書』・『大日本近世史料』等から抽出した公儀普請関係史料史料リストのうち、「吉川家文書」・「小早川家文書」・「益田家文書」の分を対象として、無年号文書の年次比定等についてリストの点検を行った。また佐賀藩重臣家に伝わった「坊所鍋島家文書」（佐賀県立図書館所蔵）について、原本調査を行い、史料画像から佐賀藩祖鍋島直茂・同初代藩主鍋島勝茂等の花押画像の切り出しを行った。これらの作業には研究協力者の協力を仰いだ。そして上記作業の成果も利用して、以下の論文を発表した。先ず「「公儀御普請」―現場監督する大名―」（『城郭史研究』41号、2022年12月）は、慶長・元和期に江戸幕府が諸大名に軍役として賦課した公儀普請（城郭建設）について、大名本人の出役状況を大名書状などの一次史料により分析したもので、軍役としての公儀普請における大名本人出役の原則を明らかにするとともに、普請現地における大名相互、または大名と幕府普請奉行の人的関係や、公儀普請における軍役と夫役の関係についても関説した。公儀普請における大名本人の出役は従来あまり注目されてこなかった視点であるが、幕府が大名に賦課する公儀普請の本質に関わる論点として意義がある。次に「鍋島勝茂の居所と行動について」（『多久家文書の「読みなおし」』、2022年11月）では、佐賀藩初代藩主・鍋島勝茂の全生涯にわたる動静をできる限り一次史料に基づいて跡付けた。公儀普請の一方の主役である大名の居所と行動の確定は、当該期の関連史料（特に書状などの無年号文書）を分析する上でも不可欠の作業である。
