初年度である2022年度は京都市内に所在する清華家徳大寺墓と羽林家山科家墓の現地実測調査を行い、山口県長門市に所在する大寧寺の二条墓を始めとする公家墓の現地実測調査を行った。京都市内のほうは徳大寺家の墓を先に調査を実施した。徳大寺の墓がある十念寺にご協力をあおぎ、徳大家の寺にある情報を共有させていただき、徳大家墓の現存把握をまず行った。徳大寺家の墓の一部は墓地内に拡散していることが判明し、墓の位置情報図面を作成した。各墓の基礎データを整理した。墓に書かれている銘文も可能な限り読み込みを行いデータ化した。その後は現存確認できた各墓の図面化の作成作業を行った。今年度の作業は基礎的な図面は完成したものの、図面上の漏れがないかまでのチェックまでには至っておらずその点は2023年度に行い完成する計画にしている。山科家の墓も同様に山科家の墓がある清淨華院のご協力のもと徳大寺墓と同様の作業を進めていった。墓の位置情報と各墓の銘文解読までは完成したが、徳大寺墓ほどの精度の高い図面作業までは至っておらず未完の部分が多いものとなっている。2023年度に完成を計画している。山口県長門市大寧寺にある公家墓の調査については、現地に現存する公家墓すべての図面実測作業を行った。遠隔地での調査でもあるので、墓の図面情報の漏れがないよう各自で図化作業した後、全員で図面の入念なチェックを行った。さらに念のために墓の細かな情報を写真撮影で補う作業を行った。2022年度の作業は予定より早く進んでいる状況である。
