新型コロナウイルス感染症による国内での移動制限の影響を受け、移動を伴う調査には支障が出た。その反面、資料による情報収集ならびにオンラインでのインタビューに十分に時間を使うことができ、次年度の調査計画の基盤を築くことができた。本研究のキーワードである、「食の主権」（Food sovereignty）は、生産者がその土地と文化に合った生産物を生産する権利でもあるが、国連をはじめ多くの国際団体が、気候変動とcovid-19に適応するための食生産・供給システムの劇的な刷新の拠り所となるコンセプトとして再評価している。そのため資料については、国際機関や英語文献における「食の主権」に関する近年の動向についてのレビューを行い、気候変動や文化的尊重の現代的文脈での用語の定義の確定を進めている。また、もう一つのキーワードである、「地域化」（ ＝ localization ≠globalization）は、新たな仕組みで生産者（と生産地）と消費者を結び付けるとして、近年の代替的食流通で重要視されているが、生産地域の課題をも流通に載せている事例を分析することにより、国内における「食の主権」を尊重した「食の地域化」のモデル構築につなげたい。そのための事例の一つとして挙げている首都圏生協については、十分の調査を進めるための先方への依頼ならびに趣旨の説明を行い、研究協力/共同研究の体制を確立することができた。また、事例地の一つについては、単著の執筆を進めており、研究年度前半での成果の発表ができそうである。
