本研究計画は近代日本のいわゆる外地への日系業者の進出を事例に、多様な地理的スケールに対応した特定の領域内で効果を発揮する制度の影響を検討することを目的とする。この目的に沿って以下４つの具体的課題を設定している。①明治から昭和初期の華北地方、満州、朝鮮半島における薬品取引制度とその再編の検証、②同時期の日系薬品業者による当該地域への進出状況と薬品取引制度の対応の検証、③現地（華北地域、満州、朝鮮半島）における在来の薬品取引制度とその変化の検証、④以上で得られた知見を西欧先進産業化国の事例と比較し、後発産業化国のモデルとしてグローバルな産業化の歴史に位置付け、成果を国際発信する。各課題に対する昨年度の実績は以下の通りである。①および③に関しては分析対象となる史資料の収集に努めた。具体的には『満州国薬局方』、「満州薬学会会報」、その他業界新聞の収集を行なった。その分析は今年度以降の課題となる。②については医薬品業界新聞の情報に注目した分析を行い、成果をまとめて学術誌に論文として公刊した。④については国際的な産業化・近代化に関わる歴史地理学の議論と接続することを目指し、「モダニティ」の地理学研究に関する研究動向を整理・展望する作業を行なった。その成果は『地理学事典』の記事として公刊した。

This study aims to investigate the impact of various geographical factors on the development of Japanese industries in modern Japan. This goal is set along the following four specific topics. (1) Verification of the recompilation of the drug introduction system in North China, Manchuria and the Korean Peninsula in the early Meiji period;(2) Verification of the import and export situation of the Japanese drug industry in the same period;(3) Verification of the drug introduction system in the same period;(North China, Korea, Korean Peninsula) The introduction system of imported pharmaceutical products and the transformation of the evidence, the above knowledge of the case of advanced industrialized countries in Western Europe, comparison, the development of industrialized countries, the history of industrialization, the position of the achievements of international communication. The results of each project are as follows: (1) Analysis of historical data collection The specific topics include "State Bureau of Medicine","State Institute of Medicine", and other industry news collections. This year's analysis of the problem is to reduce. (2) The medical industry news information, attention, analysis, achievements, academic journals, public publications (4) Research trends, organization and prospect of international industrialization and modernization related to historical geography The results of the exhibition are recorded in the "Geography Chronicle" and published in public.
