中国および台湾へ渡航し、現地での研究文献・研究資料の収集や公法学者・専門家等へのインタビュー調査を予定していたが、新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響により渡航制限があり、現地でのリサーチ活動を行うことができなかった。したがって、国内で入手しうる研究文献・資料に基づいて、台湾および中国の個人情報保護制度の基本的仕組み・内容を整理した。なお、台湾については、研究留学中に収集した研究書・研究論文等も活用した。このほか、中国の行政基本法典の概論に関する研究論文を収集し、整理・分析を行っている。このような前提のもと、2022年度は、OECD8原則を参照に、プライバシー権・個人情報の保護に関する国際的な標準・基本原則を踏まえて、台湾の個人情報保護法の概要を整理・分析した論文を発表した（「台湾の個人情報保護法の概要について」『アドミニストレーション』第29巻1号54～66頁）。また、デジタル技術を活用した感染症対策とプライバシー権・個人情報保護法との関係について、日本台湾学会において研究報告を行った（「台湾におけるデジタル防疫と個人情報保護」第20回日本台湾学会関西部会研究大会）。
