研究課題に関する『中村菊男　政治の非合理性に挑んだ改革者』（啓文社書房）を２０２３年３月に出版。中村菊男は本研究の対象となる民主社会主義研究会議の創設者の一人であり、本書では前身の団体の活動から、創設の経緯まで調査・分析している。この書は本研究のもつ意義についての理解に有益である。本書については鳥羽市商工会議所において内容を一般向けに報告（２０２３年３月１３日）。市長をはじめ、地元関係者に内容を解説し、質疑応答があった。また『改革者』（政策研究フォーラム）２０２３年５月号において仙頭寿顕（ジャーナリスト）が書評。その他、研究に関係する小論を『自治レポート』（富士社会教育センター）において公表。「語られざる民主社会主義の先人（８）木村健康と塩尻公明」（２０２３年２月）、「語られざる民主社会主義の先人（７）竹本孫一と和田耕作」（２０２２年１１月）、「語られざる民主社会主義の先人（６）安里積千代」（２０２２年８月）、「語られざる民主社会主義の先人（５）中村菊男と武藤光朗」（２０２２年５月）
