项目摘要

2022年度は、前年度2年間と比べると、人の国際移動に関してはコロナ禍の影響が少なくなった。これまでに開催できなくなっていたエスニック・コミュニティが開催するイベントも復活してきた。東京都心のエスニック・ビジネスの展開に関して、主に池袋地区の飲食店や日本語学校から情報収集ができた。また、豊島区などの外国人人口の変遷などの資料をまとめた。研究成果は、第117回アメリカ社会学会（2022年8月5日ロサンゼルス）Preconference（117th American Sociological Association Annual Meeting, Bureaucracies and Displacement）にて、"Chinese Migration and Transnational Channels in Central Tokyo."の発表をした。同年（10月15日）に開催された『統合科学シンポジウム　―デジタル化する社会の動向―』（奈良春日野国際フォーラム・甍）の英語セッションにおいても成果を“New Challenges to the Urban Dynamics of the Global City”として発表した。日本国内の移住者と社会制度的な課題については、『グローバル都市研究』（2023年3月）において“Contemporary Migration Issues in Japan: Undocumented Foreigners and Detention Centers”(共著)を発表した。池袋地区では、エスニック・ビジネスも注目されている以外にも中国出身者と日本人による週末ごとの交流がマスメディアにも取り上げられてきた。この年度もフィールドワークを実施して情報収集をしたが、引き続きコミュニティ内での連携などを含めて、情報収集を進める。
