本研究は、「ほねつぎ」としての柔道整復師の技術、およびその周囲の知識の総体を記述し、質的に記録・保存することを目的とする。具体的には、複数の「熟達の柔道整復師」の「修羅場の経験」についての語りを、個別性、一回起性を重視しながら、詳細に記述、保存することを目的とし進行中である。熟達者がその経験を、どのような言葉で語ったのか、記録そのものが主眼となる。2022年度は、感染症拡大の状況を見ながら、5件程度の取材（ヒアリング）ならびに逐語録の作成、学会発表、特筆すべきことがあれば短報として発表することを予定していた。2022年度の実績は以下のとおりである。1）学会発表1件：日本柔道整復接骨医学会学術大会において「熟達柔道整復師による「修羅場の経験」の語りに関する予備的研究」と題し一般発表を行った。柔道整復師の中でもとりわけ「ほねつぎ」としての高度な専門性を持つ熟達柔道整復師 expert judo therapists の語りanecdotes に着目し、彼らの「修羅場の経験」の語りを記述することによる英知伝承の可能性について先行研究の整理を中心とした考察を行った。2）取材3件：熟達柔道整復師3名に対する初回ヒアリングを行った。「修羅場の経験」に関する語りのほか、運動器のcommon injury である肩関節脱臼および橈骨遠位端骨折に関する語りの採録が中心となった。また、次回取材に関する許諾を得た。3）研究協力依頼：2名の熟達柔道整復師に対し、2023年度中の取材許可を得た。4）関連領域における論文発表1件：稲川郁子.柔道整復師国家試験と嘉納治五郎の思想：2022年版主題基準小項目「柔道の理念」より. 柔道整復接骨医学. 2023, 31(3), 128-136.　十分な経験を積むことなく開業する柔道整復師の問題について、国家試験出題基準から検討したものである。
