本研究は、農漁村地域において「子どもの生活習慣に対する保護者の価値観」が、地域の環境の影響をどのように受けて形成されているのかを明らかにし、保護者の価値観と子どもの生活習慣及び肥満との関連について検証することを目的としている。当該年度は、大学研究倫理委員会の承認を受け、1次調査を実施した。調査内容としては、道内の農漁村地域に居住し農業または漁業に従事し、幼児または小学生を養育している保護者5名を対象に、子どもの生活習慣において大切にしていることとその理由、生活している環境や同居家族から影響を受けていると感じることなどについて、インタビューによる半構造化面接を実施した。研究協力者は全員母親で、職業は農業が3名、漁業が2名であった。家族形態は、祖父母と同居が2名、2世帯住宅居住が2名、祖父母宅が隣家である者が1名であった。現在、逐語録の作成と質的分析を始めている段階であるが、生活リズムやおやつの与え方、食事に関する考え方などについて、保護者の職業に関連した特徴的な語りが聞かれている。今後、質的研究の専門家からのスーパーバイズを受けながら詳細な分析を行い、農漁村地域における「子どもの生活習慣に対する保護者の価値観」を明らかにしていく。
