本研究では全国の乳幼児の保育施設（幼稚園、保育所、認定こども園）とそこで働く保育者（保育士と幼稚園教諭）の全般的な感染予防の現状を明らかにするため、アンケート用紙を作成し、郵送による調査を行った。アンケートは、厚生労働省より交付されている『保育所における感染症対策ガイドライン』の項目をベースにして作成した。アンケートは２部で形成されており、１部は保育施設（幼稚園、認定こども園、保育所）の責任者に対して保育施設（幼稚園、認定こども園、保育所）としての感染対策について、もう１部は保育施設（幼稚園、認定こども園、保育所）で働いている保育者（幼稚園教諭、保育士）が実際に現場で行っている感染予防について調査票を作成した。保育施設（幼稚園、認定こども園、保育所）の選定は、統計ソフトを使用し施設・事業所類型ごとに、施設・事業所規模別、地域区分に層化し無作為に5,000施設を選定した。選出したそれぞれの保育施設（幼稚園、認定こども園、保育所）に、保育施設責任者１人とその施設で働く保育者（幼稚園教諭、保育士）３人分の調査票を同封した。各施設に保育者１人にアンケートを送付した場合、回答者は副園長や主任となり、回答には偏りがあることが予測されるため、本調査では施設で働く保育者（幼稚園教諭、保育士）１人ではなく３人とした。アンケートは2022年12月21日から28日の間に5000通全てを発送した。2023年4月までにトータル5000人の責任者用アンケート用紙の送付し776通の返信があり、アンケート回収率は15.3％であった。トータル15000人の保育者用アンケートを送付し1623通の返信があり、アンケート回収率は10.9％であった。今後は、これらのアンケート結果を分析し、保育施設と保育者の感染予防の現状を把握し、問題点抽出、さらに感染予防対策の策定をする予定である。
