2022年度は三か年計画の初年度にあたる。2022年度は、①先行研究の収集、②ヒアリング調査を実施することで、現状を再確認し2023年度以降の調査の精度をあげることを目的としていた。①については、国内の男性保育職に関連した先行研究を収集し、内容をまとめている段階にある。②については、コロナ感染症の影響で、一部ヒアリング調査が延期・中止された分があるが、14名の保育職に対するヒアリング調査をZOOMで実施した。内訳は園長3名、男性保育士8名、女性保育士3名である。ヒアリング調査の結果、①先行研究と同様に、今回の調査対象者は、性別に関係なく保育職としてとらえているようであった。しかし、今回のヒアリング調査の対象者は、男性保育職8名のうち、勤務歴3年未満の者は1名で、残りの7名は女性が多い保育職にすでに適応した者であった。3年以内に離職するケースが多いことから、今後勤務して3年未満の男性保育職に就く者に、追加調査を行う必要がある。また以前実施した幼稚園児・保育園児を持つ保護者の調査から、父親の育児関与には育児を軸にした人間関係が結べる場が必要であるとの結果が得られた。保育職においても各地に男性保育職の会のような組織が存在することから、男性が保育職に適応するために、同性からのネットワークが必要と考えていた。しかし今回のヒアリング対象者はいずれも、男性保育職の会の存在は知っていたものの、特に参加するつもりはないと考えていた。保育職につく男性の抵抗を促す要件として、同性の職業的なネットワークの有効性について改めて検討することが必要である。
