本研究を進めるにあたり整理しておかねばならない「多元的な価値」を以下の２点から整理し、可視化することができた。それは、まず、価値の階層性から見た「グローバルな価値」、「リージョナルな価値」、「ナショナルな価値」、「非真正でローカルな価値」、「真正でローカルな価値」の関係性である。次に、価値の並列性から見た異なる労働組合，教会，慈善団体，女性団体，環境保護団体，エスニック集団等，無数の自発的集団の一員として有する価値の関係性である。このことによって、児童が伝え合う「多元的な価値」を理解し明確にすることができると考える。これらのことは、令和5年3月に発刊された国際異文化学会学会誌『異文化研究』第16号で論文として公開している。また、具体的な研究対象である文化遺産として教材化を進めている世界文化遺産『富岡製糸場と絹産業遺産群』が有する「多元的価値」の調査が具体的に進んでいる。従来注目されがちであった外国から技術導入して稼働させた「富岡製糸場」のみならず、日本の近代化を支え、日本で磨かれ続け養蚕技術に視点を当てた「高山社跡」および「荒船風穴」が有する「グローバルな価値」、「リージョナルな価値」、「ナショナルな価値」、「非真正でローカルな価値」、「真正でローカルな価値」が具体的な実地調査・聴き取り・文献収集によって明らかになってきた。このことによって、児童が学習で用いるために作成予定のテキストを作成する準備がほぼ整った。以上のことは、共同研究者、研究協力者との間で情報共有できているが、近代化以前の絹産業に関する知見を整理し、近代化へ繋がる土壌を確かなものとするよう現在調査を進めている。今年度、来年度実施する予定の遠隔授業に関しては、複数の学校においてや実際のコミュニケーションの状態について機器を試用しつつ確認を進めている。
