2023年3月24日午前9時より12時半まで、順天堂大学において国際シンポジウムを実施した。国際基督教大学から2名の講演者（心理学及び法学）、スタンフォード大学より1名の講演者（大学初年次教育担当）を遠隔参加で招き、順天堂大学国際教養学部の教員の参加協力を得て、研究代表者が司会役を務め、日英両語で活発な意見交換を行なった。それに先立って、当学部の2名の教員に、研究協力者として同志社大学及び東北大学を訪問してもらい、リベラルアーツ教育とファカルティー・デベロップメントの実情に関して聞き取り調査と資料収集をしておいた。こうした企画により、国内のリベラルアーツ教育の現状、海外の実情を、学部全体である程度共有することが出来た。さらに、シンポジウムで得られた情報を前提として、同日実施した、順天堂大学のファカルティー・デベロップメント会議での議論を円滑に進めることが出来たと考えている。こうした作業を継続して行うことで、2024年度実施予定の国際シンポジウムにおいて総括をする準備が整うと思われる。なお、当日の３人の講演者の講演題目は以下の通りである。（１）「リベラルアーツ教育の理想と現実の狭間： 教学改革を超えて（The Dark Side of Liberal Arts Education in the Post-Pandemic Higher Education）」、（２）「リベラルアーツの法学：現場からの報告」、（３）"Stanford University’s Perpetual Challenge of Curriculum Reform for a Liberal Arts Education: A Recent Set of Answers in the Civic, Liberal, and Global Education (COLLEGE) Curriculum"

On March 24, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., Suntendo University was established.
