本年度は、RQである「教員が日常的に行う学生支援には、どのようなものがあるのか？」を解明するために、大学における学生支援領域の先行研究を概観した。また、教育研究組織単位の長である現職の学部長、および学部長経験者を対象に、インタビュー調査（質的調査）を実施し、６つの支援領域の現状の検証を行った。これにより、教員の行う学生支援を洗い出し、学生支援の要素を確認した。大学は異なっても教員の行う学生支援は同じであり、学生支援の要素を概念化することができた。得られた成果は、①入学前・入学時から卒業時までの適応支援では、殆どの大学において、入学前教育が実施が確認できた。②履修指導等の教学支援では、学生を受け持つ担当教員（担任相当）のみならず、教務担当教員、教務課の職員による履修指導が行われていることが確認できた。③学生生活全般に関わる相談支援は、担当教員による定期的な面談の実施、相談支援、学生支援部署での相談支援、専門部署にリファーするなどの支援が行われ散ることが確認できた。④キャリア支援では、初年次からのキャリア教育、学部における国家試験対策や受験指導、就職指導などが確認できた。また、全学の就職センターなどとの連携についても確認できた。さらに、就職活動に苦戦する学生をフォローしていることも確認できた。⑤中途退学予防に向けた支援は、入学時のオリエンテーション、大学行事、授業への出席確認、教授会、様々な会議の場面で学生情報を共有するなどが確認できた。⑥配慮を必要とする学生への特別修学支援は、入学前の事前相談、学内の専門部署との連携などが確認できた。これらの得られた成果は、どの大学においても共通する学生支援の重要な概念である。
