本研究の目的は、ギャンブルの誘因となりえる別の要因として、他者の影響に注目し、ギャンブルに関わる他者の要因を包括的に整理しなおし、ギャンブル行動に関わる他者がどのような影響力を持つのかを問い直すことである。本年度は、まず先行研究や予備調査を元にして、日常的なギャンブルにおける他者との関わりの要因にはどのようなものがあるかを洗い直して整理を行った。また、これに対するギャンブラーの持つ認識に関する実態調査を実施した。調査では、賭け手は全般的に他者からの影響を受けているが、その影響の受けやすさの量と質がギャンブルの経験や依存の程度により変化するのではないかという時間的な変遷を織り込んだモデルを検討した。20代から60代の男女1000名についてWeb調査を行ったところ、ギャンブルに介在する他者に関する項目は、因子分析の結果から、「賭け対象への信頼」、「他者情報の影響」、「自己統制」、「競争や敵対する他者」、「協同する他者」、「社会的促進」、「他者依存」の7因子構造が抽出された。このうち、賭け手が受ける他者からの影響として、ギャンブルの経験と顕著な影響が見られたのは、他者に頼らず自分でやりたいという「自己統制」だけであったが、経験が長くなれば「競争や敵対する他者」「他者依存」「協同する他者」も低下する傾向にあったことから、ギャンブルの個人化が進むことを示していると考えられる。これに対して、依存の程度は経験の長さとは関連しておらず、「協同する他者」や「社会的促進」が高いほど依存の程度も高かったことや、親兄弟などの環境との関連性からも、親しい他者はギャンブルの促進要因であると推測された。
