本研究は児童・青年期のゲーム障害患者における症状形成過程の解明を目的としている。児童精神科を標榜する他の医療機関と連携を開始し、ICD-11におけるゲーム障害の診断基準を満たす患者の実数を把握して今後の研究対象者を募集する準備を行なっている。現状では予定とする患者群３０名に満たない状況であり、他県の児童精神科への協力要請を検討している。また並行してゲーム障害患者群に対して、実際のゲーム利用状況・生活状況など含めたアンケートの作成及び半構造化面接、各種検査の準備を行なっている。研究1年目（令和4年度）はゲーム障害の症状形成過程に関してその基礎的知見を得るために、同地域にある中学校２校と高等学校３校に協力を依頼し、全生徒に対してゲーム利用状況のアンケートを行なっている。アンケート項目については各学校と協議をしながら作成をしているが、アンケート内容について各学校から変更など要望があり、その修正を現在行なっている。準備が出来次第、各学校にあらためてアンケートを依頼する。今後の計画として、研究2年目（令和5年度）の6月から7月にかけて各学校に向けてアンケートを施行する予定である。また8月以降には患者群に対しても同意を得た上で調査を行う予定である。現時点では研究発表および論文作成に至っていないが、上述の各学校に対するアンケートを分析しまとめた上で今年度中の児童精神科に関連した学会での発表を計画している。
