2022年度は，コロナ禍による人的制限や主たる調査地であった白神山地が豪雨災害に見舞われ調査地にアクセスするのが困難になるなど予定通りの調査を行うことができなかった．調査は3カ所のみで行い，それぞれ植生の記録等を行った．うち1か所は，調査時の夏季には開水面が失われており，湿地化が進んだものと考えられた．国土地理院発行の2万5千図には開水面表記があるが，聞き込み調査の結果，少なくとも2000年代初頭には夏季でも開水面が存在していたとのことで，比較的近年，水量が減少したものと考えられた．予備調査を含めて地図標記で開水面があったにもかかわらず，開水面が全く存在しなかった池沼はこれが初めてである．植生もこれまでほとんど観察されていなかったミズバショウが全面を覆っていたころから少なくともこれまで調査してきた池沼と異なるタイプである可能性がある．また，予備調査を行った池沼で再び植生調査を行ったところ，これまで確認されていなかったいくつかの水生植物が発見された．その中には調査地地域の白神山地では池沼に共通して出現するタマミクリが含まれたことから，白神山地におけるブナ帯に位置する地沼を代表とする種の1つはタマミクリであることを支持するものとなった．タマミクリは開水面が存在する場所でのみ観察されることから，種子分散様式を理解することで，ブナ帯の池沼の生物多様性創出メカニズム解明の一助となる可能性がある．研究活動に制限があったものの，これまでの成果をまとめて水草研究会の全国集会で口頭発表し，さらに現在これまでのデータの論文化を行っている．
