景観の調和の重要性が認識された今日においても、社寺周辺でのマンションや店舗の建設などをめぐる関係者間の対立がたびたび生じており、適切な調和を欠いた景観が形成される危険性は依然として存在している。景観問題における重要な視点の1つが人の心理への影響であり、建築や開発の際には違和感に配慮するよう、景観計画などで定められている。景観に違和感があると地域の調和や文化が損なわれ、地域住民の反発を招くというのは感覚的にも歴史的にも理解できるが、景観の違和感そのものについてわかっていることはほとんどない。本研究では心理学の実験手法を用いて、違和感が景観の心理的評価にどのような影響を及ぼすかを明らかにすることを目的としている。2022年度は以下の項目に関して研究を行った。（１）歴史的景観の画像を収集し、実験刺激としての違和感あり景観と違和感なし景観を作成した。また、違和感の操作が適切に行われているかを確認するため、景観に生じる違和感の程度を明らかにする実験を行った。400名の実験参加者をオンラインで募集し、実験結果を基に刺激画像データセットを構築した。（２）景観問題に関する文献調査から、風力発電施設や太陽光発電施設の建設時に反対運動が起こることから、研究対象に風力発電施設の景観も含めることとした。風力発電施設の景観画像を収集し、景観に生じる違和感の程度を調査した結果、違和感尺度における奇異性因子においては有意な差が認められたが、快-不快因子と総合得点には有意な差は認められなかった。
