在宅がん患者・サバイバーの復職・就労継続が困難になる要因として、認知機能障害（Cancer-Related Cognitive Impairment：CRCI）、全身倦怠感（Cancer-Related Fatigue：CRF）、化学療法誘発性末梢神経障害（chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy：CIPN）、上肢リンパ浮腫、不安・抑うつ等の苦痛症状が関連している可能性は指摘されているものの、入院治療を終えた後の在宅がん患者・サバイバーのCRCI、CRF、CIPN、リンパ浮腫、不安・抑うつ等の発現状況や、それらが労働能力および就労困難にどのように影響を与えているのかについて、十分に調査が行われていない。そこで本研究では、研究Ⅰとして在宅がん患者・サバイバーが抱える苦痛症状と労働能力および就労状況を定量的に評価し、苦痛症状と就労状況との関連について検討する。研究Ⅰで得られた在宅がん患者に対する就労支援リハビリテーションの具体的方略への示唆をもとに、外来治療中の乳がん患者に対する就労支援リハビリテーションプログラムの効果を検討する無作為化比較試験（研究Ⅱ）を計画立案し、実施することを予定している。そこで2022年度は、横断的調査（研究Ⅰ）を行うための予備的調査として、インターネットアンケート調査を開始した。対象はアイブリッジ株式会社に登録しているもののうち、がん診断から5年以内の18歳から65歳の就労従事経験のあるがん患者・サバイバーで、化学療法または放射線療法を現在受けている、または5年以内に受けたことがある者とした。調査項目は、Work Ability Index（WAI）、苦痛症状の発現状況、苦痛症状による日常生活への妨げの程度とした。現在、インターネットアンケート調査のデータ収集期間中（2023年9月まで）である。
