本研究では、文書中の数式内に現れる記号（数式トークン）の意味を共参照情報とともに明らかにする「数式グラウンディング」自動化の一環として、数式グラウンディングの根拠となるテキストおよび数式断片「グラウンディング情報源」の抽出および分類自動化を目指している。グラウンディング情報源の自動的な収集および分類は、数式グラウンディングの自動化や、グラウンディング後に数式検索や数式処理、定理証明など、さまざまな応用につなげる上で欠かすことのできない重要な技術である。1年度目にあたる本年は、データ収集と、収集したデータに対する基礎的な分析を行った。開始前には、arXivから選択した1本の論文中に現れるすべてのグラウンディング情報源を収集したデータがあり、その情報源の数は200程度であった。本年度を通して、複数のアノテータとともにデータの拡充を行い、合計で35本の論文に対してグラウンディング情報源のアノテーションを行った。その結果、データセット全体を通して合計2,120個のグラウンディング情報源を収集された。また、本研究で使用している専用のアノテーションツールMioGattoを拡張し、グラウンディング情報源を数学的な定義、宣言、その他に区別できるようラベル付けを行う機能を実装した。収集したデータに対しては基本的な統計的分析処理を行い、一般的なグラウンディング情報源がどのような様態のものであるかを明らかにした。
