本研究は、国際的な創作舞踊コンク-ルにおける受賞舞踊作品のイメージとあしの表現を比較分析することによって、日本的な舞踊表現の特徴を推測することを目的とする。本研究の焦点は、舞踊作品のあしの表現をバイオメカニクス的手法を用いて、操作法、支持性、移動性における運動表現の特徴を分析し、得られた資料を統計的に処理した結果をもとに推測される点にある。本研究は、次のような問題によって解決される。1. 日本人作者と海外の作者による舞踊作品のイメージを比較して、日本的な舞踊表現の特徴を明らかにする。2. 日本人作者と海外の作者による舞踊作品のあしの運動表現について行動コーディングシステムを用いた分析から、支持性、移動性、操作性について明らかにする。3. 舞踊作品のイメージ分析とあしの運動表現分析との関連から、日本的な舞踊表現の特徴を明らかにする。比較研究のための舞踊作品は、近年国内で行われた国際的な創作舞踊コンク-ルの10作品が対象とされた。問題の第1は、100名以上の大学生を被験者としてダンスSD法(ダンスのイメージ測定のための意味差判別法)で測定された。ダンスSSモデル(8次元意味空間におけるイメージの分析)を用いて統計的に分析され、作品の部分毎のイメージの方向が推測された。現在比較検討中である。問題の第2は、本研究で購入した行動コーディングシステムを用いて、あしの運動表現を分析中である。新規に依頼して作成されたソフトは、VTRのタイム書き込み、分析部分の頭だし、スピードの変化、部分の再分析、分析の停止、分析内容の保存などの操作を含んでいる。作品中の移動性に関するあしの運動のリズム、支持性、操作性などの項目に関して、時間、回数を統計的に処理する。現在分析中である。
