本年度前半には昨年度に引き続きモデリングを継続して行った。また4月よりインターネット環境が利用可能になったので、タフツ大学の古代ギリシアのデータベースに基づき、柱廊建築や柱廊空間に対応する古代ギリシア時代の用語を調査し、実物(遺跡)と用語との関連の考察を行い、デザインプロセスとの関わりで柱廊建築を考えるためのいくつかの知見に基づいたデザインプロセスにおける人間の意識と形態の関連に対する考察を北海道東海大学芸術工学部紀要16号に投稿した。これはデザインする対象物の名称(用語)は人間の意図や認識と大きく関わるからである。一方シミュレーションについては、9月に古代ギリシア建築および古代ギリシア建築の再現ともいえるドイツの新古典主義建築を実地調査する機会を得たので、モデリング作業は一旦中断して、主にビデオ撮影と観察によって柱廊空間の見え方を分析している。これよりアゴラや神域における柱廊建築の意味を考えるためには、柱廊建築内部は重要性をあまりもたず、静止もしくは歩行移動中での列柱ファサードの見え方が重要であるとの指針が得られ、モデルングの方法を再検討した。つまり従来は柱廊建築内部すべてのモデリングを考えていたが、むしろアゴラや神域全体と列柱ファサードを理解しやすいモデリングが重要である。従来のモデリングにおいては内部のディテ-ルの再現も重要でありデータ量が膨大となり効率的なシミュレーションが困難であることが問題であったが、上記のよりこれは解決される。また、11月に導入された高速グラフィックワークステーションおよびアニメータを用いれば、テクスチャマッピングの利用などにより相当のデータ軽減が行え、より高速なウォークスルーが可能となるので、データのコンパートを進めている。
