项目摘要

令和４年度は福田歓一の社会契約説研究の成立過程の解明と、南原繁と尾高朝雄との関係について特に研究した。福田についての研究成果は『政治思想研究第23号』（2023年５月頃）にて論文「「政治哲学としての社会契約説」の誕生」として発表が予定されている。本論文では昨年度より懸案事項であった、福田の社会契約説研究と時論的発言や市民社会論との関係性をできる限り盛り込むことができた。その結果、福田が安保闘争を社会契約の契機の一つと見なしていたことが明らかになり、これまで見過ごされてきた戦後思想における福田の立ち位置の一端を示すことができた。また、この研究に付随して福田と永井陽之助との関係という新たな知見を得ることができ、戦後政治学における「政治科学」の特異性といった新たな論点を発見することができた。この点については今後の研究課題としたい。南原と尾高との関係については、南原繁研究会第二二〇回（2022年11月16日）において「南原繁と尾高朝雄」との題で発表した。南原による尾高批判はこれまで尾高研究においては簡単に触れられていた論点であったが、南原研究においてはこれまで殆ど注目されてこなかった。本発表では新カント学派の価値哲学の立場を取る南原から、現象学の立場を取る尾高を検討した。その結果、南原は存在と当為を厳しく峻別する価値哲学の立場から当為（規範）から存在（現実）を構成した一方で、現象学の立場に立つ尾高は存在（現実）から当為（規範）を構成せざるを得ず、そうした立場の相違が大東亜共栄圏という歴史的現実を南原が拒絶した一方で、尾高がそれを追認せざるを得なかったことを明らかにした。また、そうした哲学方法論の違いが戦時中における両者のフィヒテ解釈にも影響を与え、大東亜共栄圏を崩壊させかねないフィヒテの民族論を南原は語ることができた一方で、民族論を回避する尾高という違いを生んだことを指摘した。
