本研究では，ヒト乳幼児の援助行動の表出メカニズムについて，乳幼児期の自他分離表象の発達や気質特性，表出に関与するファクターなどに着目し，明らかにすることを目指す．これまで，ヒトは生後１年を過ぎた頃から，即時の報酬が無くとも見知らぬ他者に対して援助行動を表出すること，他者と行動を同期させる経験が援助行動の表出頻度を増加させる可能性があることなどが示されてきた．しかし，行動同期経験との関連の詳細や，援助行動の表出メカニズムについては，ほとんど明らかにされていない．そこで，本研究ではまず，他者との行動同期経験がどのように援助行動の表出を促進するのか，検討する．今年度は，これまでに取得した14～16か月児 (N=36)の実験データを活かし，メカニズムの提案・検討と，論文化を目指すこととした．実験は，次の３つのフェーズから構成された．(１)経験前フェーズ：参加児の目の前で物体を落とし，援助行動の表出の有無やその頻度を評価した．(２)経験フェーズ：参加児に対し，実験者と行動が同期する経験 (行動同期経験条件)，実験者と行動が同期しない経験 (行動非同期条件)のいずれかを提示した．(３)経験後フェーズ：経験前フェーズと同様に，援助行動の表出の有無やその頻度を評価する課題を実施した．分析の結果，早いタイミングで表出する援助行動が，行動同期経験後に増加し，行動非同期経験後に減少する傾向が見られた．さらに，行動同期経験前後での援助行動の表出頻度の変化量は，乳児の負の感情の気質特性と関連することが明らかになった．これらの成果は，既に原稿としてまとめられており，プレプリントとして提出された．近日中に国際学術誌にも投稿する予定である．
