项目摘要

本研究の目的は、技術の無償供与が経済成長に与える影響を理論的に明らかにすることである。本研究においては、生産構造が中間財企業、最終財企業の2段階になっているモデルにおいて、技術の無償供与により、中間財企業の参入企業数が増大することにより最終財の単位費用が低下し、技術供与を行う既存の最終財企業の利潤が増加する可能性があることを示し、技術の無償供与の効果および既存の最終財企業が技術の無償供与を行うインセンティブが存在することを示した。さらに本研究は、最終財企業と中間財企業が存在し、中間財のヴァラエティーが内生的に決まるモデルにおいて、技術の無償供与により、既存の最終財企業の利潤が増加する可能性があることを示し、現実的な生産構造のあり方を踏襲した形で、技術の無償供与の効果を示すことができた。また、本研究においては、Grossman and Helpman (1991)における、製品の品質が企業の研究開発によって内生的に決まり、最先端品質を有する企業がどの品質までを技術供与するかを分析することができると考えられる、quality ladder model（質のはしごモデル）等を応用しながら検証を進め、モデルの動学化を行う基礎を構築することができたと考えられる。それによって、本研究では、経済成長につながるための新たなモデルの基礎を築くことができたと考えられる。また、既存研究のレビューをより充実させ、これまでの研究成果を論文としてまとめ、国際査読誌Applied Economicsへ投稿し、国際査読誌Applied Economicsへの掲載が決定した。

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between technology and economic growth.
