项目摘要

2022年9月-10月にかけて、アメリカ合衆国にて史料調査を実施した。具体的には、ロックフェラー・アーカイブ・センター(ニューヨーク)、ジョンソン大統領図書館(テキサス・オースティン)、ケネディ大統領図書館(ボストン)、スタンフォード大学フーバー・ライブラリー・アンド・アーカイブ(パルアルト)にて、冷戦期における脱植民地化と新興独立国への大学支援・エリート教育に関する史料の調査を収集した。その調査に関連して、11月には関西アメリカ史研究会にて、発表を行った。また、ロックフェラー財団の第二次世界大戦後すぐの時期の助成方針に関して、宗教関連に焦点を定めた上で研究活動に助成したこと、その背景を考察し、さらに『社会システム研究』に投稿することができた。2023年3月末より、アメリカ合衆国ニューヨーク(コロンビア大学)にて、在外研究を開始した。コロンビア大学、ロックフェラー・アーカイブ・センター(ニューヨーク)などにおける追加の史料調査を実施する他、現地の研究者との交流や学術イベントへの参加を積極的に行う計画である。関連する主な研究実績: 森江建斗「1950年代から1960年代初頭にかけての民間財団による開発関与：ロックフェラー財団の事例を中心に」関西アメリカ史研究会 2022年11月13日: 森江建斗「冷戦期初期における宗教と道義: ロックフェラー財団の「新たな道義」に関する助成事業を中心に」『社会システム研究』、2023年3月
