本研究は、近世の三井寺（園城寺）やその末社の関蝉丸神社に編成された諸集団を中心事例に、寺社が近世社会における集団編成において果たした機能・役割を検討するものである。研究初年度にあたる本年度は、大津市歴史博物館における「園城寺文書」の史料調査を中心に研究を進めた。その他、関蝉丸神社配下の説教者集団について長野県立歴史館へも史料調査を実施した。研究実施状況は以下の通りである。（１）関蝉丸神社社役を担っていた社会集団「兵侍家」について、従来検討されてこなかった「園城寺文書」から分析を行い、逢坂の関守末裔の由緒や園城寺法会の警固役勤仕の検討から、三井寺との関係性を解明するとともに、それが元禄から正徳期にかけて希薄化していく様相を明らかにした。本成果は大阪歴史学会近世史部会、第61回近世史サマーセミナーにおいて報告を行い、論文として投稿中である。（２）三井寺寺領に存在する他宗派寺院である時宗荘厳寺、真宗顕証寺について検討を進めた。両寺は本末関係上各宗派に登録され宗派本寺の統制を受けるが、「園城寺文書」の分析により、三井寺から両寺への寺役賦課や法会の会場として利用している様相が明らかとなり、加えて両寺の帰属をめぐって各宗派と三井寺の間で争論となっていることが明らかとなった。以上の成果については、次年度口頭報告を行う予定である。その成果を踏まえつつ、引き続き史料の捜索と分析を進め三井寺の両寺に対する社会的編成のあり方について考察し、論文化を目指す。（３）関蝉丸神社配下の説教者について、その地域での存在形態を探るため長野県立歴史館で史料調査を行い、説教者の由緒変化について分析した。来年度は他地域への史料調査も実施し、改めて研究成果をまとめたい。

The above results and the next annual oral report are scheduled to be completed. In this paper, the results are reviewed, the historical materials are analyzed, and the compilation of the society of Sanjing Temple is reviewed, and cultural objectives are discussed. (3) the Shrine of Cicada Maru is equipped with a variety of religious and geographical features, such as the exploration of the history of Nagano, the movement of historical materials, and the analysis of teachers. In the coming year, other regions, historical materials, and research results will be reviewed.
