2022年度に実施した研究成果について、以下の2点である。①戦後、性暴力を受けた引揚婦女のため、中絶手術を行う二日市保養所の慰霊問題について研究を行った。本研究では、二日市保養所について語ったドキュメンタリーと雑誌・書籍を研究対象として取り挙げ、当時流行の兆しにあった「水子」という言葉を通して二日市保養所をめぐる歴史が社会に提起され、その歴史の語りが社会に受容されるプロセスを検討した。それを事例とすることで、戦後日本の「敗戦」の歴史的語りにおける国家や社会、個人など諸主体のダイナミックな関係性と、その中における文化資源の利用のあり方が一層明らかになるという見通しがある。次に、二日市保養所跡地にある「仁の碑」と「水子地蔵」の造立や、「水子」のための「慰霊祭」のあり方を検討することによって、1980年代前後の水子供養の流行とその「民俗」のポリティクスを微視的に解き明かすことが試みた。②戦後の水子供養の成立に直接的にかかわる一人の橋本徹馬の思想について研究を行った。明治末期からすでに活躍していた政治運動家・評論家でもあった橋本は、戦時期において「皇道科学」などを主張し、理性主義に基づく近代科学と近代医学を批判した。戦後に入ると、橋本はこの批判を持ち続けながら「いのちを大切にする運動」に直接的に関わり、日本最初の水子供養専門寺院を建立した。そのため、その「水子供養」の成立に肝要な役割を果たした橋本に対する思想史的整理は、「水子」の言説の研究に大きな意義があると考えられる。本研究では、橋本が1942年に出版した『紫雲荘百話』を資料として、科学に対するその主張をまとめ、戦時期の橋本の思想を捉え、科学と宗教の関係に関する橋本の認識を明らかにしていった。

This study was published by Hashimoto in 1942 and published in "Shiyun Soba One Hundred Stories".
