本研究の目的は、ロシアアヴァンギャルドにおける「有機的潮流」という文脈のなかでの詩人フレーブニコフの立ち位置を明らかにし、その詩学を再検討することである。「有機的潮流」という概念そのものが、ロシア・アヴァンギャルド研究においていまだマイナーな領域であり、かつ「有機的潮流」についてこれまで本格的に論じられてきたのは、主にマチューシンを中心とした美術の分野のみであった。しかし、「有機的潮流」が、フレーブニコフの詩学および19世紀以来のロシア・コスミズム等と共鳴する部分を有していることは明らかであり、一つ一つの事例の分析に基づいて、この流れの内部構造を解き明かす作業が待たれるところである。そこで本研究は、なかでもフレーブニコフのテクスト分析に重点を置き、文学における「有機的潮流」の在り方を探る。また当時の芸術全体を正確に見渡すべく、フレーブニコフの作品分析と並行して、比較的研究が進みつつある美術分野における「有機的潮流」についても調査を進める。特に、その中心的人物であるマチューシンの芸術理論や、マチューシンの弟子たちの記述、その他この潮流と関係を持つ芸術家・思想家の記述も丹念に調べたうえで、フレーブニコフの位置づけを試みる。これらを通じ、これまで主に美術以外の分野についてあまり本格的に研究されてこなかった「有機的潮流」が、文学においてどのように現れたのか、またジャンルを超えた共通する指向が見いだされるのか、さらにいわゆるアヴァンギャルドの時代の終焉後、「有機的潮流」はどのようなアクチュアリティを持ちえたのかといったことを明らかにする。
