貴族隠棲に関する史料として、『宋元方志叢刊』(嘉泰会稽志・ 録)、『元和郡県図志』、『方輿勝覧』、『嘉慶重修一統志』等の地誌を調査し、内閣文庫所蔵の明刊『会稽志』、『紹興府志』も実見して、会稽地方の地名に関わる記事を収集した.それと『浙江古今地名詞典』(浙江教育出版社.′91.9)、『中華人民共和国地名詞典 浙江省』(商務印書館.′88.8)、『浙江省地図冊』(中華地図学社.′89.3)等を照合し、地図上に関連する地名をマークし、「晋宋間の名士と浙江省内の地名との関係図表」を作成した。科研費によって申請したパソコンとスキャナが品不足で購入が遅れたため画像資料の作成・発表は断念した。史料の分析により、会稽地方が歴史文化の発達した地域であり、南遷した東晋貴族が先住豪族との融和を進める中で、地域的特色である宗教的風土、形勝地の多さに感化され、山水遊行、道教信仰、山水詩創作といった行動をなしたことを明らかにした.12月20日〜22日に台湾国立政治大学で開催された第三届国際辞賊学学術研討会で口頭発表を行った.また、平成八年度科研費出版助成金によって出版した著書中にも成果を収めた.
