ASDのある高校生を対象にしたアンケート調査、成人期ASD者を対象にしたアンケート調査および面接調査を実施した。ASDのある高校生を対象にしたアンケート調査においては、ASDのある高校生の自己価値の随伴性・源泉の充足感と主観的幸福感の実態と関係性を同年代との比較を通して検証した。具体的には、ASDのある高校生12名と同年代の高校生50名を対象にアンケート調査（高校生用の自己価値の随伴性・源泉の充足感尺度、生活満足度尺度）を実施した。その結果、ASDのある高校生は同年代の高校生よりも、自己価値の源泉の充足感の「意欲的活動」が低いことが明らかとなった。さらに、ASDのある高校生と同年代の高校生において、自己価値の源泉の充足感の「学業能力」「人間関係」「意欲的活動」が高い程、主観的幸福感が高いことが示された。成人期ASD者を対象にしたアンケート調査では、成人期ASD者の自己価値の随伴性・源泉の充足感と主観的幸福感の実態と関係性を同年代の対照群との比較を通して検証した。具体的には成人期ASD者19名と同年代50名を対象に質問紙調査（成人期用の自己価値の随伴性・源泉の充足感尺度、主観的幸福感尺度）を実施した。その結果、成人期ASD者は同年代の対照群よりも自己価値の随伴性・源泉の充足感において、「意欲的活動」が高いことが明らかとなった。さらに、ASD者の自己価値の源泉の充足感の「運動能力」「友人関係」が高い程、主観的幸福感が高いことが示された。成人期ASD者を対象にした面接調査では、成人期ASD者7名を対象にして、自己価値の随伴性・源泉の充足感と主観的幸福感に関する面接調査を実施した。その結果、信頼できたり仲が良かったりする友人の存在がASD者の主観的幸福感を高める上で、重要な役割を果たす可能性が示された。
