2022年11月～2023年1月は出産に伴う研究中断、2023年2月から5月まで研究再開準備支援期間とした。さらに本研究課題に関する近似研究の進捗について情報を得たことより、2022年度は当初計画の見直しと変更を行った。当初計画では、2022年度は【第一段階】環境評価ツール（原版EAT-HC）の日本語翻訳版に関する最終レビューおよび【第二段階】ツールの適切性と文化適用性に関するフィールド調査・次年度の検証計画を遂行する予定であった。しかし、近似研究では、EAT-HCの日本・ドイツ・シンガポールでの文化適用の検討が進み、すでにEAT-HC日本版の開発が最終段階にあるとの情報を得た。そこで本研究はEAT-HCの環境評価視点を基盤としながらも認知症を有する高齢者本人の視点と参画に焦点を当てた認知症フレンドリーな環境評価ツールの開発を目的とすることとした。修正された研究計画は、２段階で構成する。【第一段階】は認知症を有する高齢者本人と家族の視点を踏まえたツールVer.1（試行版）の設計であり、＜研究１－１：認知症を有する高齢者と家族の視点を踏まえた環境評価軸と環境評価視点の特定＞＜研究１－２：ケアを受けながら暮らす場の選定へ認知症を有する高齢者の参画を促進する環境評価ツールVer.1（試行版）の作成＞を行う。＜研究１－１＞はケアを受ける場で暮らす認知症を有する高齢者と家族を対象に、写真抽出法を用いたインタビュー調査を実施し、本人視点を踏まえた環境評価の軸と視点を探索する。2022年度は本研究の前段階で実施したインタビュー調査の結果を国際学会で発表し、2022年度末に＜研究１－１＞フィールド調査の倫理審査を通過した。【第二段階】は、本ツールVer.1（試行版）の理解可能性と利用可能性の検証およびツールVer.2への洗練を計画している。
