待ち行ットワークにたいし、各ステーションでの負荷がなくなった時にサーバーが休暇をとるようなシステムを対象として、拡散過程近似の研究をおこないつぎのような結果を得た。(1)各ステーションで、重負荷条件がなりたつつ場合に、各ステーションでの休暇の長さにおうじて、拡散過程近似として、吸収過程、反射過程、および跳躍過程が現れ、さらにこの跳躍過程は、大きな跳躍がある場合と跳躍が安定分布を持つ場合とに分けられる事を明らかにした。最後の場合は従来になかった新しい拡散過程であり興味深い結果である。またこのうな跳躍過程はSkorohodのM-top orogyでの近似を意味しているのであるがこれを示す確率論的手法は新しく応用の広いものである。(2)一方このような結果を得る過程において、非マルコフ的なモデルを対象にした結果として、再生過程に関する確率積分の収束の問題が生じ、収束するための条件をマルチンゲ-ル理論にもとずく確率解析の結果を使うことによって、明らかにする事ができた。これは確率積分をマルチンゲ-ルと漸近的に無視できる項に分解することが可能である事を示したもので応用の広い結果であると思われる。(3)上記(1)において得られた拡散過程は非負の領域に値をとり斜めな反射方向をもつ多次元過程であり、Skorohod方程式の解としてあらわされるものである。さらにdrift項や拡散項は状態に依存しておりこのような方程式の解の一意性に関しては従来の結果をつかう事ができなかったが、我々の研究において、石井-Dupuisの研究結果をもとにその条件を明らかにする事ができた。
