本研究は、個人の努力による生活習慣改善には限界があり、社会環境を改善することが健康増進につながるとする健康の社会的決定要因の考えを踏まえて、各種環境要因と健康関連の指標に関して分析を行い、健康になれる環境を検討している。またその結果について、市民や関係者と共有することにより「住むだけで健康になるスマートシティ」を達成することを目的としている。そのために、各種データベースの詳細な分析を行い、データの見える化を行った上で関係者と協働し、実装を目指す研究である。具体的には①全国の階層的な各種公的データを活用し、空間疫学的アプローチや機械学習の手法により、介入効果を最大化する環境整備やサブグループを明らかにし、②自治体と協働し、その地域の詳細データの分析結果を市民とともに共有し、実証事業へ展開するための評価指標を含めたエビデンスを構築し、わかりやすく提示することを目的とする。令和4年度は全国のデータについて、地域指標とアウトカムの関連を分析し、それらの成果を見える化する取り組みを行った。都道府県別に地域指標を作成し、各種死因別死亡率や健康寿命などのアウトカム指標や喫煙率、検診受診率などのプロセス指標との関連を検討した。また、いくつかの自治体とはがん検診や介護事業データ、歯科検診データなどを利用できるように連絡・調整を行った。豊中市では事業データを使用した研究成果について地域住民や関係者との共有を行った。
